I have been a life insurance agent since 1975 when I entered the business in my hometown of San Diego, California. Our family moved to Everett, Washington in 1980. I have been an active member of the premier professional organization for insurance agents, The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) from the start. I have been active as a leader and served as President of the Snohomish County Association of NAIFA in 2000 and again in 2004. I am currently the State Chair for NAIFAPAC. I have qualified as a member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT).
From 1981 to 1989 I served as a trainer for the Senior Health Insurance Benefits Advisors (SHIBA), a program that operates under the auspices of the Office of Insurance Commissioner in Olympia, WA. I do a lot of platform speaking engagements before civic groups, retired citizens and insurance agents on a variety of topics.
The Life Underwriters Training Council awarded me the designation LUTCF in 1992. I earned the CSA designation (Certified Senior Advisor) from the American College in 2005.
