Larry knows that each industry and each client within that industry is unique and that what works for one client may not necessarily suit another. He is well-known for spending as much time as necessary to understand each client’s needs in order to craft a unique benefit plan well suited to that customer. This customization is one reason that Larry’s clients have come to know that he is putting the interests of the employer and its employees ahead of anything else.
Service after the sale makes Larry’s clients appreciate doing business with him. With his team-based approach he can be counted on to provide continual information to his clients, helping them understand that their relationship is not just a once-a-year meeting. By providing vital and timely information to assist with their benefit programs, Larry’s clients receive the full range of services that he has to offer. This helps them stay one step ahead in the marketplace, while keeping the financial viability of the company and its ability to attract talented future employees at the forefront.
A graduate of Central Michigan University, Larry joined Security First Benefits Corporation in 1996. Larry liked the idea of a career that offered a challenge, continual growth and learning opportunities, and the opportunity to work with different people all across the state of Michigan. One of the things that he values most about his job is the opportunity to meet and interact with so many different people and industries. He is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (Flint), the Association of Health Insurance Advisors (AHIA), and the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU), because he knows that remaining current in his field is instrumental in serving his clients.
Out of the office, Larry enjoys time with friends, music, travel, and sports. Larry has been actively involved in numerous fundraising efforts with organizations such as Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Greater Flint, YWCA of Flint, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and is a committee member for the IMA Children's Recreation Fund.
